Qualcomm, a global leader in semiconductor technology, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer with deep expertise in building custom generative AI apps and tools. This critical role represents a strategic mix of transformation into GenAI, Machine Learning domains, and technical expertise of software systems through development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer-specific requirements, and maintenance of applications. As a Qualcomm IT Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of delivering end-to-end AI solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address their business needs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leverage expert Software Application knowledge to provide critical technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, customer training, and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify engineering needs, translate requirements into actionable architectural solutions, and ensure alignment with overall strategic direction.
- Lead transformational initiatives to achieve desired AI/ML capabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge technologies and solutions including SaaS that enhance developer productivity enhancements.
- Provide supervision to direct reports.
- Mentor and guide other developers, and technical teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning in development practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems) OR 9+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor's degree.
- 6+ years of work experience with Full-stack Application Development (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
- 3+ years of work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
- Prior experience with technical leadership responsibility.
