Description For Engineering Program Manager (FinOps)

At Qualtrics, we create software the world's best brands use to deliver exceptional frontline experiences, build high-performing teams, and design products people love. As a Staff Engineering Program Manager focused on FinOps, you will partner with leaders in the Products, Engineering, and UX organization and with stakeholders in other departments to understand and manage the financial profile of our product offerings. You will create mechanisms to deepen our understanding of product and infrastructure costs and use that data to inform executive-level decisions on product and platform investments. You will drive organization-wide initiatives to optimize our cloud vendor spend through improvements in system utilization or adoption of new technologies. You will partner with teams across IT, Procurement, Financial Planning & Analysis, and more to streamline the budgeting and vendor intake process so we can onboard new technologies more efficiently. You will be the single-threaded cross-functional leader across the Products, Engineering, and UX organization to ensure we are meeting our budget obligations and to drive continued improvements to our bottom line costs and profit margins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve the accuracy of financial forecasts by creating more granular visibility into cost structure and models to predict cost changes over time.
  • Decrease operating expenses by identifying opportunities to improve cloud resource utilization or adopt new technologies with more effective cost dynamics.
  • Improve product prioritization decisions by providing clear and actionable data on the costs of current and potential new products and features.
  • Partner with senior leaders and executives across the company to influence long-term priorities and investments.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects with multiple dependencies and constraints.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in technical program or project management
  • Demonstrated application of SaaS financial knowledge to solve business or technical problems
  • Experience defining, managing, and successfully delivering large scale cross-functional initiatives
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish credibility with technical and non-technical stakeholders including executive staff

This role offers high visibility across the company and will have a significant impact on the profitability and overall success of Qualtrics. You'll play a critical bridge between the technical teams in Product and Engineering and other parts of the business.

Join over 6,000 people across the globe who think that bringing humanity, connection, and empathy back to business is work worth doing.
