Senior Full Stack Engineer (Elixir / React)

Rabbet is seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their remote, US-based team. The ideal candidate is a growth-oriented self-starter who takes pride in their work, focuses on outcomes, and thrives in a collaborative startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, test, and operate a full-stack application using Elixir/Phoenix/Absinthe backend and React frontend
• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand user problems and design solutions
• Take ownership of key decisions about product development
• Mentor and assist team members in their growth

Requirements:

• 6+ years of backend software development experience, with 3+ years in a functional language (Elixir or Erlang preferred)
• 3+ years experience with React
• Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a startup environment
• Ability to design data models and architect software solutions
• Excellent communication skills for remote work

Preferred Experience:

• GraphQL API development using Absinthe
• PostgreSQL database design and optimization
• Experience mentoring other engineers
• Previous work in a fintech startup
