Responsibilities For Observability Engineer with OpenTelemetry Expertise (GCP) - Canada
- Implement and manage observability and monitoring solutions on the GCP, leveraging OpenTelemetry frameworks
- Build monitoring solutions to ensure high availability and performance of applications and services in the cloud
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate observability tools and practices into the development lifecycle
- Conduct detailed analysis and troubleshooting of complex system issues using observability tools
- Develop custom instrumentation, metrics, and logs to enhance monitoring capabilities
- Stay updated with the latest developments in GCP observability and OpenTelemetry
Requirements For Observability Engineer with OpenTelemetry Expertise (GCP) - Canada
- Proficient in implementing and managing observability tools on GCP, with a focus on OpenTelemetry frameworks
- Terraform Experience
- Kubernetes and GKE experience
- Solid understanding of cloud-based architectures, particularly within the Google Cloud Platform
- Experience in scripting and automation for integrating observability tools in cloud environments
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in a cloud context
