Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE)

Rackspace Technology, a leading multicloud solutions provider, is seeking a Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) to join their team. This role combines database expertise with DevOps practices, focusing specifically on MongoDB infrastructure.

The position requires a skilled professional with 5+ years of experience in either SRE managing database workloads or development with advanced MongoDB knowledge. You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining high-availability MongoDB clusters, implementing monitoring solutions, and developing automation strategies. The role involves working closely with SRE and DevOps teams to integrate databases into CI/CD pipelines and ensure robust security and disaster recovery practices.

Key technical requirements include deep expertise in MongoDB (versions 6.0, 7.0 & 8.0), proficiency in Python and/or Ansible, and experience with database automation. You'll need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication abilities. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $116,100 to $198,400 depending on location and experience.

This is a remote position with occasional travel (less than 10%), including an on-call rotation.
