Responsibilities For Intermediate Test Automation Engineer (QA)
- Build an automated test suite/system to verify workflows created in Workato
- Institute best practices for testing workflow automation and RESTful APIs
- Advocate for a test-first mindset by creating and maintaining automated tests
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for test automation and tooling
- Assist in defect management, including identifying, prioritizing, and triaging issues
- Troubleshoot, isolate and verify issues encountered during automated test runs
- Document testing processes and standards for Application Integration Services and Workflow development teams
Requirements For Intermediate Test Automation Engineer (QA)
- 3+ years of experience in test automation with a strong foundation of QA methodologies, principles, and best practices
- Hands-on API automation testing experience with experience in scripting technologies such as JavaScript
- Experience with workflow automation tools such as Workato, UI Path, Blue Prism, etc
- Good working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases
- Strong analytical skills in working with development tools, database technologies, APIs, and structured and unstructured datasets
- Continuous improvement mindset, taking the initiative to research and adapt new technologies and methodologies
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
- Practical experience with workflow or decision rules engines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience writing tests for workflow automation
