Senior Software Engineer (Data Platform)

As a Senior Software Engineer (Data Platform) at Rebel Space, you will play a key role in architecting and implementing software infrastructure to support observability and cybersecurity solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing advanced telemetry collection and data processing capabilities to monitor space systems data. This role combines technical leadership, project management, and hands-on development to push the boundaries of space system security and observability.

You will be working on cutting-edge projects, including:

• Architecting state-of-the-art software systems for space system observability and cybersecurity
• Developing integrated monitoring systems for tracking performance and analytics within space system data
• Creating data processing pipelines for large volumes of high-rate sensor data
• Implementing software to support critical control, data collection, and machine learning systems

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with experience in languages like Rust, C++, or Go. You should be comfortable working with cloud computing platforms, data pipeline patterns, and have experience with highly performant, multi-threaded software. Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools is a plus.
