Professional Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at Recursion, you'll join a cutting-edge, cross-functional team focused on building, maintaining, and enhancing tools for internal late-stage drug discovery and partnership drug discovery programs. Your work will directly impact Recursion's success by enabling data visualization, result validation, and method piloting to advance and future-proof the industrialized drug discovery process.

You'll be part of a newly-formed team composed of computational biologists and engineers, collaborating with both internal and external teams. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally, accelerating drug discovery by partnering with biologists, chemists, computational biologists, and data scientists. You'll have the chance to substantially influence and innovate in delivering drug discovery programs at an industrial scale.

The ideal candidate has experience in professional programming, tackling projects with significant ambiguity and technical complexity. You should be resourceful, collaborative, and have a people-first mindset. While a background in biology isn't necessary, intellectual curiosity is a must. You'll work with technologies like Python, Pandas, Prefect, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform.

Recursion offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of £62,000 to £76,000, depending on your skill level and experience.
