Reddit is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer for their Ads Targeting team. This role focuses on designing and implementing ML systems to improve targeting products. Key responsibilities include:
- Owning end-to-end design and execution of ML-based targeting products like auto targeting and user lookalikes
- Driving research direction and technical roadmap for complex projects
- Being a thought leader and collaborating with cross-functional partners
- Researching and implementing new model architectures using deep learning
- Providing mentorship to junior MLEs
- Owning offline & online experimentation of ML models
- Working on large scale data systems and product integration
The ideal candidate should have:
- Tech lead experience in a product ML team
- Experience with ads retrieval modeling, ranking, or recommendation systems
- Expertise in deep learning models for retrieval
- 5+ years of end-to-end experience with ML models
- 2+ years of experience with Tensorflow/Pytorch
- Experience with large scale data processing tools
- Knowledge of nearest-neighbor search systems (preferred)
- Experience with deep learning, representation learning, or transfer learning (preferred)
