Staff Machine Learning Engineer - Ads Targeting

Reddit is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer for their Ads Targeting team. This role focuses on designing and implementing ML systems to improve targeting products. Key responsibilities include:

• Owning end-to-end design and execution of ML-based targeting products like auto targeting and user lookalikes
• Driving research direction and technical roadmap for complex projects
• Being a thought leader and collaborating with cross-functional partners
• Researching and implementing new model architectures using deep learning
• Providing mentorship to junior MLEs
• Owning offline & online experimentation of ML models
• Working on large scale data systems and product integration

The ideal candidate should have:

• Tech lead experience in a product ML team
• Experience with ads retrieval modeling, ranking, or recommendation systems
• Expertise in deep learning models for retrieval
• 5+ years of end-to-end experience with ML models
• 2+ years of experience with Tensorflow/Pytorch
• Experience with large scale data processing tools
• Knowledge of nearest-neighbor search systems (preferred)
• Experience with deep learning, representation learning, or transfer learning (preferred)
