Description For Developer Automation (E/SE)

Renault Group, a leading global automotive manufacturer with a rich history of innovation, is seeking a Developer Automation (E/SE) to join their team in Chennai. This role sits at the intersection of software development and automotive engineering, focusing on creating automation solutions that enhance the efficiency of the Architecture and design team.

The position requires a unique blend of engineering knowledge and programming skills, specifically working with EKL/CATScript/VBA technologies in the 3Dexperience/CATIA environment. As a Developer Automation engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing scripts that streamline standard rules checking processes, ultimately reducing manual work and improving delivery timelines.

The ideal candidate will have a BE in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering, along with 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience. You'll need strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams. The role involves regular interaction with overseas teams, making strong communication skills essential.

Responsibilities For Developer Automation (E/SE)

  • Develop scripts to check standard rules for Architecture and design team
  • Understand technical functions and standard rules usage from business
  • Perform technical feasibility based on requirements in 3Dexperince/CATIA
  • Create scripts to reduce manual activity and increase lead time
  • Validate scripts with business and implement customizations as required
  • Enhance new technologies and platforms
  • Regular communication and reporting to business and corporate
  • Prepare technical documents and issues reports
  • Coordinate within the team and overseas team

Requirements For Developer Automation (E/SE)

Python
  • BE in Mechanical or Automobile or Production Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in Engineering
  • Knowledge in EKL/CATScript/VBA technologies
  • Strong trouble shooting skills
  • Analytical skills and logical thinking
  • Knowledge in basic Statistics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with deadlines & without supervision
