Description For UI/UX Engineer

Repacket is revolutionizing web security with their agent-based secure web gateway (SWG) that protects employees while browsing the internet. The company inspects web traffic locally, using threat intelligence and LLMs to detect and block threats like phishing, malware, and data leaks.

As a UI/UX Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and building beautiful interfaces for users. This role combines both design and development, requiring someone who can execute high-quality designs and make them functional. You'll be one of the first employees at the Vancouver HQ, working directly with the CEO to shape product and culture.

Key responsibilities include owning the end-to-end frontend experience, leading web design initiatives, creating and implementing designs in Figma, managing frontend architecture, and integrating interactive data visualizations. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of commercial experience with frontend applications, strong HTML/CSS/JavaScript skills, and experience with design systems.

The position offers a competitive package including equity, comprehensive benefits, and a hybrid work environment. You'll be joining a fast-growing company founded by cybersecurity leaders from SpaceX, AWS, and Google, working to solve critical security challenges for businesses.

The role requires someone who can take ownership, lead from the front, and is excited about working in an early-stage environment. Experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Python backends is preferred, along with knowledge of security products and AI tooling.
