Description For Software Engineer (MES/WCS)

ROCKWOOL, the global leader in stone wool solutions, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their "Factory of the Future" team within Group R&D. This role focuses on developing and maintaining Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), combining warehouse systems with PLC automation. The position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge production technologies in stone wool manufacturing.

The role involves working with a team of specialists who develop and implement the newest technologies for stone wool production. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, developing, and maintaining the WCS and related automation technologies, implementing enhancements, and ensuring smooth integration with other enterprise systems. The position requires up to 60 days of travel annually for on-site implementations and support.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer (MES/WCS)

  • Support, develop, and maintain the Warehouse Control System (WCS) and related automation technologies
  • Implement enhancements and troubleshoot system issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Develop and implement WCS/MES software modifications and new features
  • Ensure integration between WCS, WMS, ERP, and other enterprise systems
  • Work with external vendors on technical issues and upgrades
  • Travel up to 60 days per year for meetings, implementations, and solution launch support

Requirements For Software Engineer (MES/WCS)

JavaScript
  • Degree in IT, OT, Process Automation, Robotics or similar
  • Experience with MS SQL, .Net, JS
  • Basic knowledge of frontend and UX fields
  • 5+ years of experience in global companies
  • Experience with WCS/MES software development
  • Solid industrial production knowledge
  • Understanding of material, products and pallets flow within factory
  • Fluent English
  • Experience with TrakSYS platform (preferred)
