Software Engineer (MES/WCS)

ROCKWOOL, the global leader in stone wool solutions with over 12,200 employees across 40+ countries, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their "Factory of the Future" team within Group R&D. This role focuses on developing and maintaining Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), combining warehouse systems with PLC automation. The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge production technologies in stone wool manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will join a team of specialists developing and implementing the newest technologies for stone wool production. The role involves significant collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires travel up to 60 days annually for on-site implementations and support. The position combines software engineering with industrial automation, requiring both technical expertise and understanding of manufacturing processes.

Working in a project-based matrix organization, you'll be responsible for developing, testing, and implementing WCS/MES software modifications, microservices, and new features. The role requires experience with MS SQL, .Net, and JavaScript, along with understanding of frontend and UX principles. Integration between various enterprise systems (WCS, WMS, ERP) is a key aspect of the position.
