Description For Software Engineer (Missiles Defense Sensors) - (ONSITE)

RTX (Raytheon) is seeking a Software Engineer to join their X-Band Radar (XBR) Agile Release Train (ART) team in Woburn, MA. This role offers an opportunity to work on critical defense technology, developing and maintaining radar system software using Ada and C++. The position involves both backend algorithm implementation and GUI development using Qt.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer (Missiles Defense Sensors) - (ONSITE)

  • Develop and maintain software code in Ada and C++ for radar algorithm implementation
  • Design and implement graphical user interfaces using Qt for radar systems
  • Design, develop, and test Radar software based on software trouble reports
  • Work collaboratively with systems and System Integration & Test engineers
  • Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement
  • Work with stakeholders to refine product backlog and align team priorities

Requirements For Software Engineer (Missiles Defense Sensors) - (ONSITE)

  • Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Proficient in programming concepts using C/C++, Java or Ada
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
