Description For Full-stack Software Engineer, Community Ops

Sage is revolutionizing care for older adults in senior living facilities by developing modern fall prevention and emergency response systems. As a Full-stack Software Engineer on the Community Operations team, you'll be instrumental in building essential admin workflows for both client-facing and internal applications.

The role combines frontend development using React and TypeScript with backend work in Java, requiring expertise in RESTful APIs and database management. You'll be working in a small, ambitious team focused on delivering high-quality products that directly impact the quality of care for seniors.

The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on meaningful healthcare technology while being part of a mission-driven company. Located in New York City's Union Square, Sage promotes a collaborative culture with a balance of serious mission focus and team bonding through regular offsites and team meals.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $150,000 to $180,000, complemented by stock options and comprehensive benefits including fully-paid health insurance. The hybrid work arrangement allows for up to 2 remote days per week, providing flexibility while maintaining team collaboration.

This is an ideal role for a mid-level engineer with 3+ years of experience who wants to apply their technical skills to make a real difference in healthcare, working with modern technologies while building products that improve the lives of older adults. The role offers significant growth potential within a company that values both technical excellence and social impact.
