Machine Learning Architect - RAG Foundations

Salesforce is seeking a visionary Machine Learning Architect to spearhead their RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions within the Einstein Foundation team. This role represents a unique opportunity to shape the future of enterprise AI at the world's leading CRM company.

The position requires an exceptional leader with 15+ years of experience in machine learning and search systems, who will be responsible for architecting and implementing cutting-edge solutions that combine Knowledge Graphs, vector search, and Large Language Models (LLMs). Working within the Einstein Foundation team, you'll collaborate with a diverse group of machine learning engineers, data scientists, and software engineers. The role demands expertise in multiple technical domains, including RAG platforms, semantic search, vector databases, and distributed systems. You'll be implementing solutions using technologies like FAISS, Pinecone, Neo4j, and various ML frameworks.

Key responsibilities include architecting large-scale search and retrieval solutions, developing innovative hybrid retrieval pipelines, and optimizing system efficiency through automation. You'll work closely with Product Managers, Knowledge Engineers, and ML Researchers to translate requirements into scalable solutions that serve millions of users globally.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $230,700 to $384,100 based on location and experience, with opportunities for equity and benefits. This is a hybrid role with locations in San Francisco, Palo Alto, or Bellevue, offering the flexibility to balance office and remote work.
