Responsibilities For Performance Engineer - IP Telephony and VoIP

  • Work closely with management, product owners, developers and quality engineers to understand product requirements
  • Design and implement scalability, stability, stress, reliability simulations for telephony systems
  • Participate in discussions and planning with engineering and product teams
  • Champion the definition of appropriate SLIs/SLOs appropriate service monitoring
  • Mentor engineers in the organization

Requirements For Performance Engineer - IP Telephony and VoIP

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience
  • Experience in Performance Engineering with focus on telephony systems
  • Strong understanding of IP Telephony and VoIP (SIP, RTP, WebRTC)
  • Experience with tools like Wireshark, SIPp, Jitsi for VoIP/WebRTC testing
  • Ability to debug complex UCaaS/CCaaS call flows
  • Strong knowledge of C, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby
  • BS, MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of database performance and SQL optimization
