PMTS Performance Engineer - AI Platform

The AI platform Perf Scale CTS team at Salesforce is seeking a Performance Engineer for their AI Platform. This role is perfect for those passionate about software performance, automation, and working with great engineers. As part of the Salesforce Gen-AI initiative, you'll help customers make the most of AgentForce using state-of-the-art AI technology with Large Language, Toxicity, and PII models. You'll collaborate closely with the team to implement performance and scale initiatives supporting ambitious growth plans.

Key responsibilities include:

• Benchmarking performance and scale of AI Platform, Gen AI models, and CTS
• Designing performance experiments, collecting and analyzing data
• Developing power tools and automation frameworks for continuous integration and performance measurement
• Contributing to global product design and velocity
• Optimizing systems end-to-end, advising on infrastructure design, and solving complex architecture challenges

The ideal candidate will have:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• Expertise in public cloud computing architecture (e.g., AWS, GCP)
• Experience with AI/LLM Models and GPUs
• Strong programming skills in Java, Javascript, Python, or other object-oriented languages
• Hands-on experience with performance measurement, evaluation, and optimization
• Experience with CI/CD, microservice platforms, and monitoring tools
