Description For Relationship Manager - Private Equity Practice

Salesforce, the world's leading CRM platform, is seeking a Relationship Manager for their Global Private Equity & VC Practice. This role is crucial in transforming how private equity firms create value for investors and portfolio companies while accelerating Salesforce's growth in this sector. The position combines strategic relationship management, analytical thinking, and product expertise to help PE firms achieve their objectives through Salesforce's platform.

The role involves supporting strategic PE partnerships, developing value creation opportunities, and scaling the Private Equity Practice team. You'll work directly with senior team members to originate new opportunities and influence sales cycles through value-based selling approaches. The position requires deep understanding of both the PE landscape and Salesforce's product suite to drive transformation across portfolio companies.

Key aspects include contributing to PE due diligence processes, developing growth strategies for acquisitions, and acting as a bridge between account teams and the PE Practice. You'll need to articulate Salesforce's value across B2B and B2C portfolio companies while managing complex partnership programs. The role also involves coaching junior team members and contributing to strategic projects.

The ideal candidate brings 5-7 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, consulting, or related fields, with strong international exposure and C-level interaction. You should excel in communication, strategic thinking, and relationship building, with the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations. The position offers competitive compensation ($152,460 - $203,910) and a hybrid work arrangement in New York or Boston.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to combine their financial services expertise with technology transformation at a global leader in enterprise software. You'll be at the intersection of private equity and digital transformation, helping shape how PE firms leverage technology to create value in their portfolio companies.
