We are seeking an exceptional Product Manager to join our cross-functional team responsible for empowering internal and external developers to create outstanding products that delight our customers. As the Product Manager of the Salesforce API Platform, you will be tasked with designing and developing tooling, policies, governance rules, and developer experience products that make building and consuming APIs at Salesforce seamless and powerful.
To excel in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills and a developer-centric approach (non-negotiable). Your customers include API producers and consumers in various forms: humans, apps, and agents. You will be responsible for ensuring Salesforce meets these customers' needs through a highly technical platform product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement short-term (3-6 months) roadmap for API platform products/services
- Develop medium to long-term strategies (1-3 years) to ensure customer/partner success
- Gather and incorporate feedback from internal/external partners and customers
- Market and evangelize features and roadmap across multiple channels
- Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries
- Lead the API Governance committee to establish consistent and coherent API rules
Requirements:
- Related technical degree
- 10+ years of experience in product management, focusing on highly technical products
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to bring structure to ambiguous situations
- Proven track record in cross-organizational influence and coordination
- Passion for marketing platform services/products through various mediums
- Excellent communication skills across different customer types and leadership levels
- Hands-on understanding of API architectures, protocols, and specifications
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, microservices, and API management platforms
