Samsung, a global leader in advanced semiconductor technology, is seeking a GPU CP Firmware Engineer to join their Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) and Advanced Computing Lab (ACL). This role is part of their initiative to build industry-leading GPU hardware IP for high-performance computing devices across mobile, automotive, and custom market segments.

The position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, including the Xclipse GPU - the first mobile GPU with ray tracing technology for Samsung Galaxy smartphones. As a GPU Firmware Engineer, you'll be responsible for GPU cluster control specification and Firmware implementation, working closely with architecture and software teams to develop and optimize GPU Control Processor systems.

The role requires deep expertise in firmware design, with a strong preference for RISC-V experience, and hands-on programming skills in Assembly/C/C++. You'll be working on performance optimization, architecture development, and delivering GPU IP solutions that scale across different market segments.

Samsung offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and various other perks such as free onsite lunch and tuition assistance. The base salary range is competitive ($144,345 - $257,336) with additional benefits including MBO bonus compensation and potential long-term incentive plans.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers looking to work on next-generation GPU technology while being part of a growing team at a well-established global company.
