Description For GPU Design Verification Engineer

Samsung Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) and Advanced Computing Lab (ACL) are seeking a GPU Design Verification Engineer to join their team of excellence in Intellectual Property development. This role focuses on verifying the functionality and performance of cutting-edge GPU designs for high-performance computing devices across mobile, automotive, and custom market segments.

The position involves developing comprehensive verification plans, creating testbenches using SystemVerilog and UVM, and ensuring the quality of GPU designs through thorough testing and debugging. The successful candidate will work within a diverse global team, collaborating across different functional areas to ensure GPU architectural designs and modules work seamlessly.

The GPU Design Verification team at SARC/ACL is responsible for test plan coverage across three levels: Graphic Code, Subsystem Verification, and Formal Verification. This role offers unique opportunities to work on projects that directly impact end-user products, with the backing of Samsung's global innovation leadership.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in GPU design verification, strong technical skills in SystemVerilog and UVM, and excellent problem-solving abilities. The role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities For GPU Design Verification Engineer

  • Develop and execute comprehensive verification plans for GPU designs
  • Design, develop, and maintain verification testbenches using SystemVerilog, UVM, and C++
  • Create complex test scenarios to validate GPU features and functionality
  • Analyze results and debug complex GPU designs
  • Work with cross-functional teams to align verification efforts
  • Develop verification methodologies and tools
  • Maintain documentation of verification plans and results

Requirements For GPU Design Verification Engineer

Python
  • 10+ years of experience with Bachelor's degree or 8+ with Master's or 6+ with PhD
  • 5+ years of experience in GPU design verification
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM, and scripting languages
  • Strong understanding of GPU architecture and graphics pipelines
  • Experience with industry-standard verification tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
