Back-end Software Engineer

SecurityScorecard is seeking a Back-end Engineer to join their growing Technology team focused on product development. As a Back-end Engineer, you'll be responsible for building commercial products and playing a key role in delivering reliable, scalable, and maintainable applications. You'll work with a global team, including engineers, product managers, and UX designers, to build a stable, high-performance platform.

The role involves participating in all stages of the software development life cycle, from design to deployment. You'll be working with modern technologies including Node.js, TypeScript, Python, and various databases like PostgreSQL and CockroachDB. The position requires expertise in cloud technologies (AWS) and DevOps practices using tools like Docker, Jenkins, and Terraform.

The position offers competitive compensation ($80,000 - $145,000 base plus bonus) along with comprehensive benefits including stock options, health benefits, unlimited PTO, parental leave, and tuition reimbursements. This hybrid role requires being onsite in the Austin, TX office an average of 3 days per week.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in agile environments, strong proficiency in server-side development, and excellent communication skills. You'll be part of a collaborative team environment where you'll lead projects from start to finish, working closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement solutions.
