Description For Data Engineer

Sensmore, a pioneering company in intelligent robotics backed by Point Nine & other Tier 1 investors, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their mission of automating the world's largest machines. The role focuses on designing and maintaining data infrastructure that powers Sensmore's embodied AI and Vision-Language-Action Models (VLAMs).

As a Data Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of classic data engineering and ML Ops, handling complex data flows from various sensor arrays including radar, LiDAR, cameras, and IMUs. The position requires expertise in building scalable data pipelines, implementing ML Ops best practices, and ensuring reliable data processing for both training and inference pipelines.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of experience in cloud-based data pipeline development, strong programming skills in Python and SQL, and familiarity with ML Ops tools. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to transform how heavy machinery operates in mining, construction, and adjacent industries.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work on cutting-edge robotics and physical AI technology, with the potential to make a significant impact on industrial automation. The role offers attractive benefits including stock options, relocation assistance to Berlin, and the chance to work with top-tier researchers and engineers. You'll be based in either the Berlin or Potsdam office, contributing to a company that's revolutionizing how heavy machines adapt to dynamic environments and execute complex tasks.
