Responsibilities For Senior Platform Engineer
- Optimize code delivery to ensure that every engineer is delivering their best work
- Develop deployment processes and tools to ensure our software gets to customers safely and efficiently
- Streamline the engineering onboarding process via automation
- Create tooling and processes to help developers avoid outages
- Build/deploy/maintain security controls, instrumentation, and detection infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues to ensure optimal system performance
- Measure key delivery metrics and respond to any major disruptions of service
- Participate in the on-call rotation and help keeping it sustainable
Requirements For Senior Platform Engineer
- 5+ years experience as a DevOps/SRE/Cloud engineer role
- Experience using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS in production and continuous build environments
- Solid understanding of networking concepts such as HTTP, SSL/TLS, DNS
- Experience monitoring high availability environments using tools such as DataDog
- Experience with customizing development tools
- Extensive knowledge of engineering processes, structural design, and system optimization
- Experience working with a highly collaborative team
- Experience with incident management
