Description For IT Infrastructure Engineer

Sierra is an innovative AI company building a platform that enables organizations worldwide to create autonomous AI agents for customer service and commerce. As their first IT Infrastructure Engineer hire, you'll play a crucial role in scaling internal systems during a critical growth phase. Working alongside the IT Lead, GRC Lead, and Engineering team, you'll be responsible for building foundational infrastructure, enhancing security, and optimizing operations.

The role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking, requiring 4-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure or software engineering. You'll lead important initiatives like migrating from Google Workspace Identity to Okta, implementing identity analytics, and developing automated user lifecycle pipelines. The position demands proficiency in Python, Bash, JavaScript, and Terraform, with React experience being advantageous.

Sierra offers an attractive compensation package ranging from $180K to $210K with equity, alongside comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, unlimited PTO, and parental leave. The company, co-founded by Bret Taylor (OpenAI Board Chair, former Salesforce co-CEO) and Clay Bavor (former Google Labs leader), maintains offices in San Francisco, Atlanta, New York, and London, though this role is primarily in-person in San Francisco.

The company culture is built on five core values: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and Family. They're committed to building trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful, while maintaining a strong focus on work-life balance and fostering an inclusive environment that supports both professional and personal growth.
