DevOps Engineer I

Sigma Defense is seeking a DevOps Engineer I to join their team supporting a Navy software factory called FORGE. This role combines DevOps engineering with Agile Scrum Master responsibilities, making it an unique opportunity for someone starting their career in software development and operations.

The position focuses on modernization efforts to deliver cutting-edge software development practices, DevSecOps, and technologies to the Fleet. You'll work extensively with containerization in both production and development environments for full-stack applications and services. This role is perfect for candidates with a background in Computer Science or Engineering who are interested in both technical implementation and process improvement.

As a DevOps Engineer I, you'll be responsible for creating and executing test plans, working with Linux-based infrastructure, and implementing various DevOps tools and practices. The role also includes significant Scrum Master responsibilities, including facilitating ceremonies, maintaining the JIRA board, and ensuring the team follows Agile best practices.
