Description For Applied Machine Learning Engineer

Signify, formerly known as Philips Lighting, is seeking an Applied Machine Learning Engineer to join their Research group in Burlington, Massachusetts. This role represents an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of AI/ML and IoT, specifically focusing on connected lighting systems. The position is part of Signify's center of excellence for AI and ML innovation, where you'll be developing breakthrough AI-enabled systems and services.

The role involves creating cutting-edge algorithms and frameworks for IoT systems, working alongside research scientists to develop AI/ML solutions, and delivering innovative proof-of-concept demonstrators. You'll be working with data from IoT devices and connected lighting systems, contributing to the development of reusable tools for reproducible ML, and handling model deployment and data ingestion.

As an ideal candidate, you'll need a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, with strong programming skills in Python, Java, and SQL. The role requires expertise in machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised methods, deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and Keras, and experience with NLP tools such as BERT and GPT.

Requirements For Applied Machine Learning Engineer

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience with Python

  • Knowledge of SQL (MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL)
  • Machine Learning/Deep Learning expertise
