SCADA Engineer

SkyeDesk is seeking a skilled SCADA Engineer to join our team in a remote capacity. This role requires expertise in Ignition SCADA software, Python scripting, and database management. The ideal candidate will have an Ignition Core Certification and extensive experience in designing and implementing SCADA systems.

As a SCADA Engineer at SkyeDesk, you'll be responsible for designing and deploying HMI and SCADA applications using Ignition's Vision and Perspective modules. You'll leverage your Python scripting skills to automate tasks, develop custom logic, and integrate various systems within Ignition. Your strong SQL query skills will be essential for optimizing database performance and managing industrial databases.

Key responsibilities include designing intuitive user interfaces, integrating data from various sources (PLCs, databases, and external APIs), and deploying automation solutions across different industries. You'll also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving issues in SCADA systems, communication protocols, and database queries.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executing industrial automation projects, managing databases, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Your expertise in industrial communication protocols such as OPC (UA/DA), Modbus, and Ethernet/IP will be crucial for ensuring seamless communication between control systems and SCADA.
