Senior Software Engineer - Traffic

Snowflake is seeking a talented and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join their Traffic & Edge team in Bellevue, WA. As part of the Cloud Engineering team, you'll focus on building best-in-class tooling, automation, and a scalable infrastructure platform to run the Snowflake service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build out next-generation Traffic stack based on Envoy and Kubernetes
• Develop and operate highly reliable, secure, scalable, and performant Traffic and Edge infrastructure
• Automate deployment and maintenance tasks
• Participate in on-call rotation and ensure service uptime
• Investigate and fix production issues, drive blameless incident post-mortems
• Plan and lead complex technical projects

Required Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience with advanced programming languages such as C++, Java, Go, Python
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation)
• Experience with public cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Knowledge of Traffic/Edge Engineering or Cloud Networking
• Familiarity with container orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Experience with automating operations at scale
• Understanding of SRE/Production Engineering best practices
