SpaceX, the pioneering space exploration company founded with the vision of making humanity a multi-planetary species, is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer for their Dragon spacecraft program. This role represents a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of space technology, directly contributing to the development of vehicles that transport both crew and cargo to space.

The position combines hands-on engineering work with systems-level thinking, requiring expertise in computing, power systems, instrumentation, and RF communications. As an Avionics Systems Engineer, you'll be part of a cross-functional team that spans the entire product lifecycle - from initial design and analysis through production and actual space operations. This role is perfect for someone who wants to be involved in all aspects of spacecraft development and operations.

The work environment is fast-paced and demanding, with responsibilities ranging from developing and executing complex avionics system tests to providing real-time support during actual space missions. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology and will have the opportunity to contribute to SpaceX's mission of making life multi-planetary.

The role offers competitive compensation ($100,000-$135,000 based on experience) and comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, 401(k), equity opportunities, and paid parental leave. The position is based in Hawthorne, CA, where you'll work alongside some of the industry's brightest minds in SpaceX's main engineering facility.

This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer with at least one year of experience who wants to make a direct impact on human spaceflight. The role requires a unique combination of technical skills, problem-solving ability, and the dedication to work in a fast-paced environment where the stakes are high and the mission is nothing less than revolutionizing space technology.
