This role is crucial in ensuring satellites can withstand various environmental conditions from ground transportation to on-orbit operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of frequency domain analysis, software skills, and analytical abilities. Responsibilities include supporting satellite programs, resolving dynamics problems, building finite element models, executing dynamic testing, and performing various analyses. The role requires a bachelor's degree in a STEM field and at least 1 year of dynamics experience. Responsibilities For Loads and Dynamics Engineer, Satellites (Starlink)
- Support satellite programs
- Resolve dynamics problems through analysis and test
- Build finite element models
- Execute dynamic testing from start-to-finish (pre-test analysis, sensor selection & installation, testing, data analysis, signal processing and model correlation)
- Perform analyses using commercial and in-house codes as well as write new code
- Perform other analyses that improve products including, but not limited to, satellite brightness, stress analyses, and fatigue analysis
Requirements For Loads and Dynamics Engineer, Satellites (Starlink)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or other STEM discipline
- 1+ years work experience in dynamics either from industry, research, internships or academic projects
- Strong intuition of the frequency domain
- Solid software and analytical skills
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (due to ITAR requirements)
