Test Engineer (Development Test)

SpaceX is seeking a Test Engineer for their Development Test Team, responsible for testing that supports major programs like Starship, Dragon, Falcon, and Starlink. This role involves developing and executing tests for engines, components, and spacecraft on an accelerated schedule. The ideal candidate will excel in uncertain situations, embrace unexpected outcomes, and tackle diverse engineering challenges in a fast-paced, hands-on team environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing tests to evaluate hardware performance and survivability
• Owning test campaigns from planning to execution and review
• Providing direction to technicians for test article fabrication and integration
• Developing and maintaining test procedures, sequences, and software
• Operating and troubleshooting data acquisition, control systems, and fluid/mechanical systems
• Automating test operations to increase efficiency and safety
• Collaborating with design engineers to resolve anomalies and improve hardware

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 1 year of hands-on testing experience. Preferred skills include experience with mechanical systems, hazardous materials, high-pressure systems, instrumentation, 3D modeling software, and coding languages.
