Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure

Spendesk is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join their Infrastructure team, focusing on building and maintaining developer-facing platforms. This role is central to transforming traditional infrastructure into scalable, automated systems that empower engineering teams. The position involves working with cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes, Go, and AWS to create and maintain core infrastructure services. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of engineering experience, strong DevOps background, and expertise in platform engineering.

The Infrastructure team at Spendesk is responsible for critical systems including CI/CD platforms, secrets management, observability tooling, and developer workflows. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing scalable systems, improving deployment automation, and enhancing developer productivity across the organization. The role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multiple engineering teams.

Key responsibilities include managing core infrastructure services, evolving the CI/CD platform, owning the Infrastructure Service Orchestrator, and improving observability tooling. You'll also be involved in migration of legacy infrastructure components and participate in on-call rotations.
