Software Engineer II

As a Software Engineer II, you'll join our growing engineering team to build the future of tax automation. You'll work across our full technology stack, implementing features end-to-end from user interface to AI-powered backend services. This role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI tools and serverless architectures while making a direct impact helping businesses save millions in tax credits.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building end-to-end features from conception through deployment
• Developing AI-powered workflows for tax calculations and document processing
• Creating intuitive user experiences for tax professionals
• Writing comprehensive tests for critical tax computation logic
• Collaborating with tax experts, product, and design teams
• Optimizing performance of data-intensive financial operations

• Frontend: Next.js, TypeScript (hosted on Vercel)
• Backend: SST, TypeScript (AWS serverless)
• AI/ML: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Exa
• Testing: Vitest
• Integrations: ADP, Gusto, Paylocity, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Jira, Azure

We're looking for candidates with:

• 2-5 years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript
• Experience with React/Next.js for frontend development
• Backend development experience with Node.js
• Full-stack mindset and testing experience
• AWS or cloud platform experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
