Description For Full Stack Software Engineer, VP

Charles River Development (CRD), the FinTech division of State Street, is seeking a Vice President level Full Stack Software Engineer to join their growing engineering organization. This role is part of their initiative to transform their platform using next-generation cloud-based technologies including Microsoft Azure, Kafka, and Snowflake. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on the State Street Alpha® Platform, the industry's first front-to-back solution.

The ideal candidate will have 8-15 years of experience in cloud native development, with strong expertise in Java, Spring, and event-driven architectures. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining critical components of the Alpha/Charles River Development modules, working within an agile scrum team. The role involves both hands-on development and technical leadership, including mentoring junior engineers and driving technical excellence.

CRD is experiencing significant growth, having increased headcount by 135% over the last 5 years. They're particularly focused on expanding their European presence, with this position available in either Krakow or Gdansk, Poland. The company offers a hybrid work environment requiring 2 days in the office per week, along with benefits like paid volunteer days and access to employee networks.

Responsibilities For Full Stack Software Engineer, VP

  • Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create software solutions
  • Direct problem solving for projects to resolve software technical issues
  • Develop software using Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript and other languages
  • Provide guidance and critical analysis during code reviews
  • Write unit and automation tests
  • Conduct manual tests to ensure product quality
  • Provide troubleshooting on mission critical client implementations
  • Engage in agile software development process
  • Plan and coordinate cross-team activities
  • Drive technical excellence and coach junior team members
  • Mentor and guide Junior and Senior Engineers

Requirements For Full Stack Software Engineer, VP

  • Experience in Angular or React
  • Experience in Snowflake
  • Experience in SQL Server
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes
