Java Senior Software Engineer, hybrid, Assistant Vice President

Charles River Development (CRD), the FinTech division of State Street, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing team. CRD is part of the State Street Alpha® Platform, the industry's first front-to-back solution. The role involves developing new Java middle tier/server-side functionality and working on new product development in the financial space. The position requires strong Java development experience, preferably in FinTech, and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies like Azure, Kafka, and Snowflake.

The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of Java development experience and a strong technical background. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior engineers. The role requires expertise in Java, Spring, Microservices, and cloud technologies, with additional experience in React, SQL, and Kubernetes being highly valuable.
