Senior Software Engineer, VP

Charles River Development (CRD), the FinTech division of State Street, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer VP to join their growing European presence. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring expertise in full-stack development and team management. The position involves working with the State Street Alpha® Platform, a cutting-edge front-to-back solution in the investment industry.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of commercial software development experience, strong expertise in Java and cloud technologies, and experience managing teams of up to 10+ people. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining critical components of the Charles River platform, working with technologies including Microsoft Azure, Kafka, and Snowflake.

This role offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of FinTech and enterprise software, developing solutions for Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, and Wealth Management. The position requires both technical excellence and leadership skills, as you'll be managing a team while actively participating in development work.

CRD is experiencing significant growth, having increased headcount by 135% over the last 5 years.
