Developer/Architect, AVP

State Street Global Markets Technology (GMT) is seeking an experienced Developer/Architect to lead the development of a cutting-edge intra-day position and profit/loss management platform. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, focusing on building a cross-business platform that will serve diverse Global Markets businesses.

The position offers an opportunity to work with State Street, one of the world's largest custodian banks and asset managers with over two centuries of history in financial services. As a Technology Lead/Architect, you'll be responsible for designing and developing mission-critical systems using modern technologies while working with a global team that supports various business units including FX Sales and Trading, Securities Finance, and Global Credit Finance.

The ideal candidate will bring 18+ years of financial services experience, with deep expertise in Java, Spring, and modern architectural patterns. You'll be working on low-latency applications, utilizing technologies like Oracle Coherence/Apache Ignite, and contributing to both backend and frontend development with React.
