State Street is seeking an experienced eFX Java Developer to join their high-frequency trading team in Boston. This role is part of a strategic initiative within their eFX platform, which has seen significant growth over the past decade. The position involves developing and maintaining a sophisticated trading platform that operates on a follow-the-sun basis, handling thousands of client connections and automated trading strategies.

The role combines technical expertise with financial domain knowledge, requiring strong Java programming skills and an understanding of FX trading concepts including Spot, Forward, Swap, Benchmarks, and eNDF trading. You'll be working with a global development team on high-volume, highly available transactional systems that are critical to the business's success.

As part of the development team, you'll not only build but also directly support the platform, ensuring close alignment with business needs. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge financial technology, working with modern tools and frameworks including Java, Linux, Oracle databases, and various messaging systems like Kafka.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication capabilities.
