Senior Full Stack Engineer | Web3

Status is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their Web team in building cutting-edge web3 infrastructure and applications. The role focuses on developing and maintaining their web browser crypto wallet and other web assets using modern technologies like TypeScript, React, and various blockchain tools.

The position is part of Status, a company dedicated to advancing secure, private, and open web3 technology. They're building essential infrastructure for the Ethereum ecosystem, including the Nimbus ETH clients, Keycard hardware wallet, and Waku messaging protocol. The company operates with a distributed team of 200+ contributors worldwide, embracing open source principles and minimal hierarchy.

The tech stack is modern and robust, utilizing TypeScript, React, Storybook, Vite, Vitest, Playwright, and other current tools in a monorepo structure. The role requires strong JavaScript fundamentals and experience with React, TypeScript, and crypto web browser wallets. The ideal candidate will work primarily in European time zones but remote candidates from other regions are welcome.

Key responsibilities include building secure APIs, managing RPC calls efficiently, working with browser storage, implementing transaction functionality, and maintaining the React-based design system. The role requires collaboration across teams including QA, development, UI/UX, and product.

The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of software engineering experience (3+ years with React), strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, and experience with crypto wallet integration. They should be comfortable in startup environments and have a background in open source development.
