Symmetrio is seeking Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineers for a large enterprise organization in Philadelphia. This role focuses on designing and managing identity platforms including Okta and Microsoft Entra ID. The position requires expertise in implementing secure authentication methods, automating user lifecycle processes, and enforcing access governance at scale. The role offers a competitive salary range of $110K-$130K and follows a hybrid work model with 1-2 days onsite. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in IAM, strong knowledge of security protocols, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities For Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer
- Design, deploy, and maintain IAM solutions, including SSO, MFA, identity lifecycle management, and privileged access management
- Administer and optimize Okta and Entra ID environments
- Lead integration of applications into SSO platforms using SAML, OIDC, OAuth, and SCIM standards
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for identity provisioning
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and security teams on identity governance
- Configure and enforce multi-factor authentication policies
- Work with security and compliance teams on IAM controls
- Support incident response and troubleshooting
- Provide technical documentation and training
- Evaluate and implement new IAM technologies
Requirements For Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer
- 5+ years of professional experience in IAM or related IT security role
- Experience with Okta Identity Cloud
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Strong understanding of IAM protocols: SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, SCIM
- Experience integrating cloud/SaaS and on-premise applications
- Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, and directory synchronization
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages
- Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture
- Understanding of compliance frameworks
- Strong cross-functional communication skills
