Senior Staff Engineer, Modeling

Takeda, a leading global pharmaceutical company with over 230 years of history, is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer specializing in Modeling to join their Synthetic Molecule Process Development (SMPD) team. This role sits within the Process Engineering & Technology Group, where you'll be at the forefront of developing robust and cost-effective processes for manufacturing new small molecule pharmaceuticals.

The position requires a strong background in chemical reaction engineering and will involve leading challenging problems in chemical reactions by leveraging expertise in reaction kinetics, transport phenomena, mathematical modeling, and reactor design. You'll be responsible for developing scale-up and scale-down models for studying unit operations using both first-principle and data-based models.

As a Senior Staff Engineer, you'll work with cutting-edge process analytical technologies (PAT) combined with mathematical models to enhance process understanding and enable effective development, optimization, and scale-up of processes using in-silico approaches.
