Responsibilities For Mainframe Developer

Design, code, test, and implement mainframe applications and enhancements
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Perform systems analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging of existing applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
Develop batch processing and online applications using COBOL and JCL
Optimize and maintain database management systems, primarily DB2
Document application processes, flows, and technical specifications
Stay updated with the latest mainframe technologies and best practices

Requirements For Mainframe Developer

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mainframe Developer or in a similar role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and DB2
Experience in developing and maintaining CICS applications
Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles
Understanding of job scheduling and workload management
Knowledge of source control tools and methodologies
