Description For Senior AIVT Engineer

Teledyne e2v, a leading provider of specialized components for medical, aerospace, and industrial applications, is seeking a Senior AIVT Engineer at their Chelmsford facility. This role combines software engineering with hardware testing and verification for space-based applications. Responsibilities For Senior AIVT Engineer

  • Lead the AIVT solution on projects for space-based applications
  • Produce and implement test and verification plans
  • Plan, commission and perform functional, electrical, mechanical and environmental tests
  • Provide documentation and present at design, test and project reviews
  • Collaborate with project managers on schedules and risk management
  • Define requirements for test systems and operate EGSE and MGSE
  • Perform subsystem and system verification testing
  • Manage test equipment availability between projects
  • Conduct AIT unit and system integration and test

Requirements For Senior AIVT Engineer

Python
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field
  • Experience in spaceflight hardware and sub-system AIT for space applications
  • Test planning and scheduling experience
  • Experience with verification/validation of requirements
  • Experience of scripting and operation of EGSE systems
  • Good electrical and electronics background
  • Knowledge of environmental testing for space sub-systems
  • Experience with engineering lifecycle management
  • Proficiency in matlab and python
  • Knowledge of Space Standards (ECSS)
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
