Responsibilities For Additive Engineer, Die Shop

  • Hands on operations of Additive Manufacturing (AM) machines and post-processing
  • Collaborate with tool design engineers to develop and optimize parts
  • Work with AM machine manufacturers to develop process specifications and printing parameters
  • Characterize fabricated parts to understand defects and mechanical properties
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and correct issues associated with process or equipment
  • Provide input for new product development

Requirements For Additive Engineer, Die Shop

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Materials, or other engineering sciences, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in operating Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) equipment
  • Metal AM process knowledge in making successful builds
  • Experience with metal alloys commonly applied in tooling and automotive industries
  • Fluent with 3D CAD software (Solidworks, Creo, etc.)
  • Proficient in using 3DXperts and other software for AM design
  • Knowledge of post printing processes for metal 3D printed parts
