Description For Field Reliability Engineer, High Voltage Systems

Tesla is seeking a Field Reliability Engineer for their High Voltage Systems team to enhance customer experience by reducing field issues. This role combines electrical and mechanical engineering expertise to analyze and improve Tesla's electric vehicle components. Responsibilities For Field Reliability Engineer, High Voltage Systems

  • Monitor products field performance and identify trending issues
  • Perform detailed failure analysis and identify root-cause of problems
  • Apply mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge for corrective actions
  • Communicate field performance and gather engineering buy-in
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Share lessons learned and provide feedback in design reviews
  • Participate in product and process optimization

Requirements For Field Reliability Engineer, High Voltage Systems

Python
  • Degree in Electrical, Power Electronics, Electronics, Mechatronic, or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in Failure Analysis/Quality/Service in consumer electronics or automotive
  • Ability to navigate software/firmware tools and logs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in PCBA level troubleshooting and debugging
  • Experience with statistical methods and tools
  • Programming knowledge in Python, Minitab, JMP or similar
