Internship, Machine Learning Engineer, NVH

Tesla is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer Intern to join their NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) team. This internship is expected to start around January or February 2025 and continue through the entire Spring term (i.e. through May 2025) or into Spring/Summer 2025 if available. The minimum duration is 12 weeks, full-time and on-site.

The intern will be involved in developing and implementing audio algorithms for advanced diagnostics of Tesla products. They will collaborate with manufacturing and audit teams to integrate these algorithms into production processes. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing audio algorithms for advanced diagnostics
• Designing automated data generation pipelines for real-world perception problems
• Deploying and scaling work across millions of Tesla vehicles worldwide
• Collaborating with manufacturing and audit teams for seamless integration

Requirements include:

• Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Strong experience with Python, C++, and software engineering best practices
• In-depth knowledge of deep learning
• Fluency with neural network architectures for audio event detection and classification
• Experience with PyTorch or other major deep learning frameworks
• Proficiency in data manipulation tools and Linux environment
• Proven record of driving research projects from conception to product integration
