  • Support Vehicle Engineers in defining prototype manufacturing strategies
  • Brainstorm and collaborate with Engineers and Designers in creating new automotive solutions
  • Develop designs using CAD and FEA
  • Rapidly design and manufacture limited volume prototypes vehicles
  • Own vehicle subsystems for concept prototype and mule builds
  • Work with cross-functional teams from Design, Vehicle Engineering, and Powertrain Engineering

Requirements For Mechanical Design Engineer, New Programs Engineering

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a product development environment
  • Hands-on experience in designing and building electro-mechanical systems
  • Broad knowledge of rapid prototyping methodologies and techniques
  • Capability to parametrically use 3D CAD software
  • Understanding of Engineering fundamentals and capability to run FEA
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented personality with effective documentation skills
