Responsibilities For Sr. Process Engineer, Cell Tabless
- Drive development of new/innovative manufacturing processes from proof of concept through to full scale production
- Plan, execute, and support DoEs to characterize boundary conditions and optimize processes
- Perform statistical analysis and report data for trials and DoEs
- Develop and maintain process documentation
- Create and maintain SPC charts for new processes and cell designs
- Provide on-call support for cell pilot lines
- Manage activities of engineering technicians
- Champion continuous improvement projects
- Develop and manage PFMEA risk assessments
- Up to 20% travel to support rollout of new cell designs
Requirements For Sr. Process Engineer, Cell Tabless
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of process engineering experience
- Experience with Li-ion battery chemistry, cell assembly, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with web handling and roll-to-roll processing
- Knowledge of MySQL, Python / R and JMP / Minitab
- Strong project management skills
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills
- Deep understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude
